Marma 60 min
1:1 Ayurvedic Bodywork
Service Description
Marma Chikitsa: Ayurvedic Bodywork Experience a deeply grounding Ayurvedic bodywork practice known as Marma Chikitsa. This fully clothed, hands-on session invites relaxation by working through joints, connective tissue, and specific pressure points—often described as the meeting place between the physical body and subtle energy. In Ayurveda, what Traditional Chinese Medicine refers to as acupressure points are known as Marma points (Marmāni). These vital points are understood as “seats of prana,” where body systems, awareness, and vitality intersect. Rather than penetrating muscle tissue like traditional massage, Marma Chikitsa gently engages the fascia—the connective tissue network that supports the nervous system and links the entire body. Through slow joint opening and intentional pressure-point sequences, the practice supports circulation, nervous-system regulation, and deep rest. A typical session includes: - Gentle movement to open the joints - Marma point sequences on the arms, shoulders, neck, back, face, and head - Space for integration and rest - Sessions are full-body unless otherwise requested. How to prepare: - Wear loose, comfortable clothing - Blankets and supports are provided for warmth and ease - Hydrate before and after your session BOOK a free intake call to discuss questions or logistics (see SERVICES).
