Don't miss this unique opportunity to get in the fields of Union Pier’s ONLY micro-farm. Explore ways to play in the dirt and at the same time surrender to what will come from your work.
From the field gardens to prairies Goldberry Woods invites you to experience how we look full circle; utilize permaculture, biodynamics, and food forests, while also nurturing beneficial bugs, pollinators, and soil health. We strive to get back to nature and nurture things organically.
OurField Planting Experience will be led by Innkeeper, Farmer and Owner, Julie Haberichter. Julie was born playing in the dirt and has meshed chemical and mechanical knowledge with her passion for safe and healthy foods, holistic wellness, care for soil, and awareness of the pollinators and other creepy crawlies that are affected by our gardening endeavors.

Goldberry Woods has been practicing organic farming methods for over 10 years. We want to use our 30 acres to inspire and educate our guests and those around us. On the 2 acres we have dedicated to farming, we prioritize amending the soil and raising unique varieties of fruits and vegetables.
While not OMRI certified, we employ farming methods that, in many ways, surpass USDA organic. We holistically consider aspects of permaculture, biodiversity, and upcycling. We try to create many of our own inputs through cover cropping and composting and are exploring lunar planting this season. We seek to continually learn and share with great transparency.
